It is located between Figueira da Foz beach in the North and Ericeira beach in the South.
The A17 and A8 motorways (Lisboa-Leiria) and the A15 (Óbidos- Santarém) provide access where travel becomes quick and easy.
We find there the town of Peniche which is the westernmost point of Europe with its fishing port. From Peniche, one can take boat trips to the magnificent Berlanga Islands.

Foz do Arelho is a pretty seaside town where we find the marvelous Óbidos Lagoon which flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
The bay of São Martinho do Porto in the shape of a shell, is very family-friendly or small children can swim safely.
The town of Caldas da Rainha, which owes its name to the thermal springs, is a fairly large town where you can find everything.
Nazaré has one of the oldest fishing traditions in Portugal and is increasingly famous for its giant waves, calling surfers from all over the world.
Also places like the famous pilgrimage site of Fatima, Torres Vedras, Alcobaça, Batalha, Leiria etc. are certainly worth a visit.
There is no shortage of sunshine on the Silver Coast. The climate is mild and healthy and very sunny during the winter. Maximum summer temperatures are around 30 degrees, and winter temperatures rarely drop below 15 degrees during the day and 8 degrees at night. The gastronomy of the Region is very varied, every morning we find on the market of Caldas da Rainha fresh fruits and vegetables directly from producers.
We have a wide variety of regional pastries like pão-de-ló from Alfeizerão, pastries from Tentugal, cavacas. The national pastry is Pastel de Nata.
